Inkheart is a great classic for lovers of fantasy. Inkheart is the first installment of a series by Cornelia Funke and is a great page-turner. I would rate this book 3 1/2 out of 5 as I'm not really a fan of fantasy novels but this is still one of my favorites. I would recommend this book to Middle Schoolers who love worlds full of portals to distant kingdoms brimming with fairies and other magical creatures.
